Clinical Research

Any investigation in human subjects intended to discover or verify the clinical, pharmacological and/or other Pharmacodynamic effects of an investigational product(s), and/or to identify any adverse reactions to an investigational product(s), and/or to study absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion of an investigational product(s) with the object of ascertaining its safety and/or efficacy. The terms clinical trial and clinical study are synonymous.

Course Objective

To prepare graduates for research in the clinical setting via practical knowledge and skills to describe, implement and apply scientific methodology in an international environment required to achieve global regulatory approval for new pharmaceutical products. Additionally completion of a research project provides graduates with the ability to demonstrate the independent application of these methodologies and process.

Teaching Methodology
  • Teaching Methodology consists of blended delivery with a mix of Classroom lecturs, Presentations, Seminars, GDS and Industry interactions.

Eligibility Criteria
  • 1st or 2nd class honors degree, in Biological Science, Medicine, Medicinal Chemistry, Dentistry, Nursing, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Physiology or Toxicology
  • IELTS of 6.0/ TOEFL 80 IBT
